KESSLER Hochgewächs was served to Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain and Prince Philip during their meeting with German President Heinrich Lübke and Chancellor Ludwig Erhard at a grand gala dinner in Schloss Augustusburg in 1965. During those years other heads of state also enjoyed the ’Chancellor Sekt’, this included the U. S. President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy (1963), the Dutch Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard (1968), the French President Charles de Gaulle (1968), the U. S. President George Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush (1989).
